Consumer Protection Act
An Act to provide for the protection of the interests of consumers and for the said purpose, to establish authorities for timely and effective administration and settlement of consumers' disputes and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
Any end-user of any product or consumer can file a complaint with Distt. Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission up to the amount of Rs.50,00,000/- against the clever manufacturer and traders, Amounts from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 2 crore are filed in state commission, and above Rs 2 crore in national commission. The consumer can also file complaints against the traders and individuals who gave wrong advertisements, file complaints against the builders, insurance cos., mobile manufacturers, mobile services auto dealers and manufacturers, etc.
